Sanjay Raut reserved for calling Maharashtra government 'unlawful'
Authorities said that Police have taken suo moto discernment of Raut's comments and a FIR was enlisted at Nashik's Mumbai Naka police headquarters.
"A case enrolled in Mumbai Naka Police headquarters u/s 505(1)(b) of IPC against Uddhav group pioneer and MP Sanjay Raut for purportedly making disunity between the police and people in general by his proclamation," Nashik City Police said.
IPC Segment 505 (1) (b) manages the 'plan to cause, or which is probably going to cause, dread or alert to people in general, or to any part of the public by which any individual might be prompted to commit an offense against the State or against the public serenity'.
Authorities said that Police have taken suo moto insight of Raut's comments and a FIR was enrolled at Nashik's Mumbai Naka police headquarters.
"Sanjay Raut in a proclamation against the state government said that the current government is unlawful and their orders ought not be followed," they said.
